Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear?
You may be asked to remove some clothing for this, so wear under garments you are comfortable in or bring along some shorts.
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No! Although we get referrals from GP practices it is not necessary.
What can osteopaths treat?
Osteopaths treat a wide range of conditions that include back and neck pain, peripheral joint pain, trapped nerves, repetitive strain, headaches, sporting injuries, arthritic pain, and many other conditions.
What happens if I cannot attend my appointment?
If you need to cancel an appointment we respectfully request that you give us 24 hours notice so the appointment can be offered to someone else. Failure to do so may result in you being charged for the appointment.
How many treatments will I need?
Most courses of treatment will take three or four sessions. Your osteopath will advise you if they feel it may require more sessions to help you recover fully.
What training has an osteopath had?
Our osteopaths have undertaken five years comprehensive training training and are fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council.
